Nanitos and Minitos, the hybrid characters of Ramakech
The first of the Hybridus lineage at the Ramakech sculpture park in Marrakech, the Nanitos are medium-sized, gourd-headed garden dwellers. They grew and were born right here, in Ramakech’s vegetable garden, sheltering in underground mazes whenever they’re not out and about.
Born from a tale Jean-François Fourtou once told his daughter, this cast of characters reflects the artist’s new inspirations following the birth of his two sons a few years later. Continuing his work across different scales, the Minitos soon followed , small, mischievous, vegetable-headed guests, happily overturning beautifully set tables.
